Hellish Rebuke 5e

Artificer with Unbreakable weapon, or an eldritch artifact subclass that deals damage instead of taking it? Honestly though I love how brutal d20 and MM can be. I saw the first half of the movie once and was really into it until I found out there are no real consequences for getting killed in full force...

I suggest making a fighter/sorcerer hybrid who's crafty and cunning - A sorc uses heavy armor to wield magic with ease (thus utilizing all their defensive strength) and still put out some pure brute numbers.

This, but have them be human skeletons with normal size normal equipment. Necromancer is pretty cool too for this effect. Also, they should imbue their elemental weapons with pyromancy, as either way, if you're not wearing level appropriate armour and when not using pyrefire or burning spells, then your whole build is bad anyway so might as well take a break from combat between attacks. Most fun combos aside from backstabbing witches is beating the shit out of the enemies feet with fire and air.

Yah man! I had actually picked up hellish rebuke back when 3rd edition came out; its nice playing d&d in my early 20's instead of nerding over specific classes. Its surprising just how much control you have with low level settings :)

Definitely one of those that I wish I got to try. It looks awesome :)

It truly is, the only class ill ever make again :) The spells feel amazing now =]

True, fireball should get 2 levels per turn like missiles right?
