Old Orchard Mall Redevelopment

They closed the bridge near there and have been moving the building parts under a new bridge. The 2nd floor of The Vault is totally gone...at least until someone runs into it in real life lol. I remember when that place was open though- my dad worked at Tower Records, so one day, while he went to do some store shopping for me (on his lunch break lol), I remembered they had an arcade setup way up on the 2nd floor for people coming over. Good times :)


Ive grown up watching this news report about how wonderful everything is going here :/ time flies really. When was this game comin out again?


No one knows exactly when it'll come out - but with something like 1 million+ square feet of space, there's very little room in which to integrate those two aspects seamlessly! Hopefully, whenever they actually get construction started or ready for release, it will be really great =) All eyes of course await with bated breath as one last stand of the old Mall comes face to face with a whole new world of potential entertainment options ;)


It seems pretty vast as well... Not terribly big as alot of malls seem today. But imagine a parking lot outside now too :) awesome. I didnt even realize how nice the green spaces were since i never took a trip through until recently... Might have actually planed that excursion this weekend! Either way must feel strange seeing all the empty space finally, good thing nintendo has their foot down! haha


Yeah! Any speculation of exactly why they moved these spots around right before winter? It would make sense if the change was happening again soon, but then why'd they move so much stuff off screen during warmup sequence??? XD This kind of project always ends badly haha. What is important to notice besides it being all newly landscaped though? There's also plenty more indoor space and exits opening onto the plaza from the left & right side of the mall (for the most part)...
