For an extra $15/mo, you can get the half of what this guy is going to charge and put your own shit in with him...

But then you'd be huffing his gaseous goodness all day. I wouldn't live there.

Methheads shouldn't have more than 3-5 rooms so it's not an issue as long as they are not using our sewer system and we don't have too much break/damage on their stuff, just keep things clean. Plus, they always need a place to sleep and have plenty of places to shower which would also save the city money compared to undernourished felons sleeping out in the street.

I sorta agree but remember a meth head needs food, shelter, clothes. All that contributes to crime. Lots of homeless people run away from shelters for fear of being picked up by police. This may help give the impression to some possible criminals to look away? Unfortunately who really knows how effective such a program will be. Hope your point still stands :) No sarcasm intended if seen as rude thanks!

You're going to ignore all or most of the negative effects?

The negatives would probably balance it out since they feel safe living in "their home" for an extended period of time.

Maybe, but isn't everyone else safer for having drugs sold legally inside, rather than into dark alleys outside? Maybe downplayed drugs should only be legalised within shops in developed countries where controlled supply is generally guaranteed. Then the problem would be solved: millions of health problems: meth cooks often suffer mental instability which impacts social relationships etc.... Do the numbers check out?
