A good book about writing poems, written for a grammar class.

It made me want to write poetry just for pleasure again... Well that was the problem with it being given instead of being enforced on people all their life like so many other forced cultural / religious values are.

I remember this poem perfectly. It's one I used whenever I felt frustration over my crappy English teacher (not specifically gender-related) who would spend an entire 2 minutes trying to say how my grammar and phrase were wrong. I graduated college 7 years later and still have a "word document" in my computer which is roughly 1/4th of her output.

hah, hey, I'm 22 and even at your age! Hehe~ Congratulations on your graduation from college, by the way... One day when you're adult we'll hopefully be able to laugh about school exams by arguing that no one should get to graduate high or anything XD

Thanks!!! An old friend of mine also won a fellowship for medical internship from America, which is what the hospital here wanted but that only gives them one more year haha :) Thank God for those scholarships because I might've went there if they didn't extend it. Definitely looking forward to making better use of my time away from school though

Oooh exciting!! But yeah, I agree. The money thing sucks..(no sarcasm, there's just nothing fun about sitting around for almost half a year.) As for graduation things go south, sometimes for a lifetime but he sounds optimistic! You *can* make good of yourself regardless where you live. :) And another supportive cliche? Maybe not an actual cliché, but believe in yourself despite what happens outside your control. ;)

Indeed there isn't much fun about sitting around until about the 5-6th month when I can leave home(different state every 3rd month), otherwise it's pretty boring right now. He isn't too pessimistic yet but has been for 8 months and counting, if that tells you anything :P I'm probably gonna continue living out of state until January next year just because something stopped paying for certain airline tickets: (

Yeah, that does inform everything that happens after March ><. Then again, we really dont' blame them because the health system definitely SUCKS...
