Dale Cheney Obituary Connecticut

Dale LeRoy Cheney of Newington, CT went home to be with the Lord March 18. 2020 He was 91 years old.


He is survived by his loving wife Helen (Born 1949) and cherished sons Harold of Newington, David of Portland, OR and Mark of Forest Grove; and stepsons Jeff of Attleboro MA and Warren of Rochester, NY. He was predeceased by daughter Michele of Tucson Ariz., brothers Jim and James Conway and sister Ethel Gollome. Dale was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church and worked there for forty-eight years before retiring in 1991. Dale enjoyed gardening but that did not stop him from attending every Tomahawk game possible on cable television. His pride and joy were his beloved grandchildren Steven, Katie, Matthew, Kate, Alexa all of whom will miss him incredibly, as well as his great grandchildren Alex and Bao. No services will be held at this time. However an immediate Funeral Service with burial to follow will be planned when it's safe to do so for Dale’s many life long friends as also Dale is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery in Mystic alongside brother Jim who passed away 8 years ago in 2012.
