Ryan Mouton Aaron Hernandez

It's high, its hard, but it'll be done.

While I know this is a joke, Ryan obviously isn't that bad of a TE, even if he had all his legal problems hanging over him. I think the one issue there was Brady left 1 on 1 time with Hayden in the preseason which was by design and not because of injury. That could have ruined it for Matt though considering they hadn't really seen each other or practiced together except during OTAs and minicamps (and only during practice).

Hernandez will never be a first round pick... So the Pats lost their chance to get better one year from now.

Yes, true; however it doesn't completely invalidate his ability. There wasn't any real reason for us to draft him especially since we already had Fells, Gronk, Chandler Jones, Vollmer, Doyle, SSS, Malcom Mitchell, Edelman, Hightower/White, Wallace, Roberts, Nicks, Heath Miller... etc... I'd wait until next year. Probably pretty easy. Don't feel too rushed considering it's an O-Line class.

Let me point out, who is the last Tight End taken in the first? Ben Watson, then Josh Gordon. Will Hernandez ever be a Gronk Replacement if he's drafted in first round? He may be the best to come off the board so he needs as much help as possible. The more depth the better. It will take sometime for his game overall to develop, but depending on our injuries after a good camp, he might be useful this season!

Good points; i do like what your saying. Yeah, you guys need some guard help too, hopefully Elandon Roberts can be consistent. As far as reattaching tight ends go, James Casey already seems to have been moved away from TE and is mostly used in RZ types situations. Gonna have great guards later down the line, as well as 2 RBs and 3 wide outs we can use at receiver out of packages.
