Do people not realize there is a relationship between religious fanaticism
and organized religions or militant atheism? If Christians don't get it now...
I'm sorry because we can all relate to what happened with the Vatican as well.

Let's begin here...
What do YOU think our religion "is?" According to dictionary.com,
it describes a set of beliefs held by human beings by which they are able to make rational decisions through reason. It's defined also as follows by Merriam Webster [or any other dictionary]:
An ideology or set of beliefs derived from a major culture and often imposed upon other cultures. A belief that cannot be disproved, either merely because a person has never experienced its effects, or because of evidence having been eliminated, makes faith a major commitment under the guise of rational thought. An excuse for a deep seated belief system operating without accountability. (Winchester College Dictionary, Vol 1#1st ed. 1892). So let's take a closer look at the new terminology for ourselves now. Here you go:
"Religion is not about believing a whole book whose author gave up because life got boring after 2500 verses." [Canonical Law of New Order] (Chapter 3, Section IX)...
Now we have religion in the more general sense consisting mainly, indeed solely of belief. Now let us delve into some studies by the sociologist William Miller: American society, 1960: Pastoral and Sanctifying People, 1985 chapter 12 "...the State has made religion largely irrelevant...but we should understand that social structures are very much impacted as well...
